Anita's Mission

"Having gained experience as a Mindfulness Buddhist practitioner, qualified as a Mindfulness and Specialist SEN Teacher, I develop a program to help children with additional needs. Since then, I have taught in a variety of settings and my main specialism and focus has been to support children with special needs to achieve their highest potential in education. I have first hand experience of understanding a child with learning needs - as my daughter has Dyslexia and has demonstrated to me that with determination and perseverance young people can achieve through school, college and adult life despite their disabilities. I was later inspired by the work I achieved with many other children and young people in the teaching & learning capacity in SEN + Main Stream Schools and Centres.

My proven ability to effectively engage students in education, support their confidence and resilience and watch them achieve is a goal worth teaching for. I aim to continue a Mindfulness approach in Alternative Education with a therapeutic approach to aid children who struggle in such situations, and help them develop motivation, confidence and independence in their individual learning experience."

Having a child with Dyslexia has given me the insight into the specific blocks to a child reaching their full potential in education.
